Kidney Health

Writer: Kelly Cullen, NDKelly Cullen, ND

First of all, I want to clarify that I am not a medical doctor. If you think you need medical attention, please contact your doctor. This is for informational purposes only.

Here are some thoughts on how to naturally support the kidneys:

▪️Stop drinking pop immediately. Pop is a known cause of kidney stones.

▪️ Drink half of your weight in ounces of PURE water a day. Larger individuals, who need to drink more water, should make sure they’re not depleting too many minerals.

▪️Avoid processed sugar, which is very acidic and stresses the kidneys.

▪️Some possible signs that you may have kidney stress include: dark circles under the eyes, airborne allergies, back pain, history of reactive hypoglycemia, nausea and morning sickness.

▪️Avoid GMOs, which further stress the kidneys.

▪️Ochratoxin A is a mycotoxin that is found is certain foods, and is known to stress the kidneys. Mycotoxins are waste products from mold. Grains, coffee, wine, dried fruits are common culprits. I buy a mold a mycotoxin free coffee. This is my favorite: https://puritycoffee.com/?rfsn=8541623.eda1f2e.

▪️KDY from Loomis Enzymes is a great product to help support the kidneys. I keep this in stock, or can ship if you’re not local.

▪️Below is the Reverse Osmosis system that we have and LOVE. Whatever toxins are coming in the body (including well or tap water) have to be filtered by the liver and kidneys. https://amzn.to/4gY7VsZ
